Physiological consequences of perinatal nutritional programming

Conditions during development and early life may have profound effects on physiological functioning and phenotypes and health in later life. This course aims to provide a detailed scientific background on the epigenetic mechanisms that mediate the link between development and adult phenotypes, both at the physiological and gene expression level.
The program contains state-of-the-art lectures on epigenetic mechanisms, their role and significance across species, and in addition focuses on perinatal programming by nutritional factors in humans, laboratory and farm animals.
