Dear colleagues,
After a successful 2022 edition, we are pleased and excited to announce that registration and abstract submission is now open for the Dutch Translational Metabolism Conference 2023. The conference will take place on June 1-2 2023 at Hotel Wageningsche Berg in Wageningen.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together both junior and senior researchers, who study metabolism on a translational level. The meeting focuses on bridging the gap from fundamental research to application in humans and treatment of disease. Themes covered in this meeting include cellular metabolism, systemic metabolism, lifestyle interventions, circadian biology, drug discovery, innovative methods for metabolic research, and more. We are once again grateful for the support from the community, including financial support from companies as well as NWO and the top journal in our field, Cell Metabolism.
Our confirmed keynote speakers include:
- Prof. John Speakman from The Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, China, and the University of Aberdeen, UK
- Prof. Mikael Rydén from Karolinska Institute, Sweden
- Prof. Kristina Schoonjans from EPFL, Switzerland
- Dr. Katrien De Bock from ETH Zürich, Switzerland
- Dr. Guido Bommer from Institut de Duve, Belgium
In addition to these renowned researchers, we also provide a platform for junior scientists to present their research. Based on submitted abstracts we will select junior scientists to present their work in oral and/or poster presentations. We invite abstracts from researchers at all career stages, including master students. If more fitting, submission of a research plan is also welcome, in place of a traditional results-based study. Deadline for abstract submission is April 2nd, 2023. You can register through this link: https://event.wur.nl/dtmc/subscribe. Registration is also available through our website.
Due to the generous support of our sponsors we are able to keep the registration cost low. Cost of registration is €215/person for a double room, €280/person for a single room. This includes the costs of overnight stay, as well as meals and drinks. For conference admission without an overnight stay, the cost will be €155 per person.
All information about the conference is available at https://www.translationalmetabolism.nl. As we have limited space available, we encourage you and your colleagues to register and submit your abstracts as soon as possible to ensure participation. Please also forward this email to any member of your team or collaborator who might be interested in joining us! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@translationalmetabolism.nl.
We look forward to meeting you and your colleagues at this exciting event!
